She was committed to growing equity compensation into a viable career path for future generations; as a revolutionary in the field, Marilyn was instrumental in founding the Certified Equity Professional Institute (CEPI) in 1989 as a way for equity professionals to gain further credibility and set a standard for job-related knowledge. Marilyn served on the CEPI Advisory Board from 1992-1994, serving as its Chair in 1993. Marilyn was also a founding member of ESSA (The Stock Forum) the original predecessor association to the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals (NASPP).
The CEPI is offering two scholarships in Marilyn’s name to honor her legacy and commemorate the significant achievements she made to the industry by doing something that she would have wanted; encouraging and enabling highly motivated candidates to pursue opportunities to advance their careers. The successful applicants will be provided a scholarship for all three levels of the CEP program, excluding materials.
